Description of role:
We are seeking to appoint a Project Manager based at our headquarters in Cambridge, or one of our regional sites in the UK. The PFM Group is responsible for contributing to effective and efficient management of projects funded by a range of UK and European agencies.
The mains duties will include:
- Management of successful proposals through grant preparation and project initiation
- Delivery of projects on time and to budget
- Managing dissemination and exploitation planning activities within projects
- Reporting and liaison with funding agencies
- Where required for project delivery, identifying new opportunities for public funded projects and contributing to the assembling of consortia to bid for these
- Supporting the preparation and submission of proposals for projects providing this support
Travel:
This position may require occasional travel both in the UK and abroad.

If this position is to be based in our Port Talbot office it will be part of an initiative known as AEMRI (Advanced Engineering Materials Research Institute), which is funded by the Welsh European Funding Office (WEFO) using European Regional Development Funds (ERDF). If this position is to be based in our Middlesbrough office it will part of an initiative known as Centre for Materials Integrity which is part funded by the Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
