Description of role:
We are seeking to appoint a Senior Engineer for the Fatigue & Fracture Integrity Management (FIM) Section of the Materials and Performance Integrity (MPI) Group based at our headquarters in Cambridge, UK
The FIM Section provides industry with design and consultancy services along with standard and bespoke fatigue & fracture testing, Consultancy and Asset Management. The FIM Section has a global client base, spanning a broad range of industrial sectors, including Oil and Gas, Power, Construction and transportation.
The successful candidate will provide consultancy in the area of fatigue & fracture assessment, testing and engineering critical assessment.
Key accountabilities
- Maintaining and developing TWI business in the area of fatigue & fracture testing and consultancy through single client and joint industry projects (SCPs and JIPs) by engaging with TWI member companies.
- Preparation of project work proposals to meet clients’ needs.
- Maintaining excellent external and internal client satisfaction through managing projects to time and budget.
- Enhancing capabilities and expanding TWI’s mechanical testing business e.g. standard and specialised fatigue & fracture testing.
Travel:
This position may require regular travel both in the UK and abroad.
