When we say, “the stuff dreams are made of,” we’re not just referring to the world of wizards, dragons and superheroes, or even to the wonders of Planet Earth. From brilliant creatives, to technology trailblazers, across the globe, WBD offers career defining opportunities, thoughtfully curated benefits, and the tools to explore and grow into your best selves. Here you are supported, here you are celebrated, here you can thrive.

Your New Role

This role will play a crucial part in supporting the execution and scaling of Warner Bros. Discovery’s (WBD) global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategy. While the primary focus is on DEI learning, the role will also contribute significantly to broader DEI initiatives, working across various projects that support the organisation’s overall DEI goals. The DEI Workforce and Strategy Specialist will assist in designing, developing, and implementing DEI learning content while also providing operational and project management support for key DEI initiatives such as data analysis, Business Resource Groups (BRGs), DEI reporting, and other strategic projects.

The role will support enterprise-wide DEI initiatives while partnering with regional DEI teams to tailor and localise efforts, ensuring global consistency with regional relevance. In addition to these responsibilities, this position will provide critical operational support to the Director DEI, Workforce and Strategy.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in DEI learning within a global organisation, a passion for building inclusive environments, and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams, including but not limited to DEI Partners, Centres of Excellence (COEs), Learning & Development (L&D), and external vendors.

Your Role and Accountabilities

  • Support DEI Learning Strategy Execution: Collaborate with the DEI Learning team to develop and implement DEI learning initiatives that drive WBD's mission of fostering an inclusive workplace. Conduct analysis to identify content needs and gaps, manage content creation, and provide logistical support to ensure seamless execution.
  • Content Development & Localisation: Work closely with DEI Partners, COEs, and regional teams to develop tailored learning content that aligns with both global DEI priorities and local cultural contexts. Support regional teams in scaling DEI learning initiatives across diverse markets to ensure culturally relevant and impactful learning.
  • Maintain Knowledge of Emerging DEI Trends: Stay up to date with the latest developments in DEI practices, policies, and industry trends, translating insights into innovative learning content. Serve as a DEI thought leader, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative ideas to the team.
  • Manage DEI Learning Platforms: Maintain and update the DEI Learning SharePoint site and related tools, ensuring that all DEI learning resources are easily accessible, up-to-date, and aligned with organisational needs.
  • Collaborate with Key Stakeholders: Partner with Corporate Communications to ensure DEI learning initiatives are aligned with broader internal messaging. Collaborate with L&D to integrate DEI content into leadership and employee development programs, ensuring that DEI learning is embedded into the WBD learning culture.
  • Vendor and Partner Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with external DEI learning vendors, ensuring they bring valuable expertise and insights to support WBD’s DEI learning strategy. Ensure all external content complements internal efforts and meets WBD’s high standards.
  • Budget Management & Invoice Processing: Support the Director, DEI Workforce and Strategy with the DEI Learning department budget, including tracking expenditures and processing invoices for external vendors and consultants. Ensure that all financial processes are handled efficiently and in line with organisational guidelines.
  • Project Management & Metrics: Provide logistical and project management support, including tracking learning programme effectiveness and participation rates. Use data to continuously improve DEI learning content, measuring success, and adjusting strategy as needed.
  • Support Broader DEI Initiatives: Assist in broader DEI projects beyond learning, including data management, DEI data analytics, reporting for WBD’s DEI annual report, and supporting the planning and execution of DEI initiatives across the business. Partner with teams working on key DEI projects like BRGs and other cross-functional DEI programs to ensure alignment with the overall DEI strategy and objectives.
  • Contribute to Strategic DEI Projects: Work on high-priority, strategic DEI projects that focus on workforce diversity, talent pipelines, and the creation of inclusive policies. These projects may include diversity metrics reporting, leadership involvement in DEI efforts, and driving enterprise-wide initiatives in areas like DEI recruitment strategies or partnerships with external DEI organisations.
  • Administrative Support: Take on other administrative and project management duties as required, ensuring the smooth operation of the DEI Learning and Programmes function.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in DEI Learning & Development: Experience in workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion, specifically in designing, developing, and delivering DEI learning initiatives. Global experience is strongly preferred, with an understanding of how to tailor content for different cultural contexts.
  • Broader DEI Project Experience: Experience contributing to broader DEI projects such as involvement in data-driven DEI initiatives, producing DEI strategic reports, or supporting business resource groups (BRGs) and other DEI governance structures.
  • Thought Leadership in DEI: Maintain advanced knowledge of DEI trends, best practices, and industry standards, and use this expertise to act as a thought partner for the DEI Learning and Programmes team.
  • Global Perspective with Local Sensitivity: Proven experience working on global DEI learning initiatives, with an understanding of how to localise content for different regions and work effectively across diverse geographies and cultures.
  • Communication & Presentation Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to develop and present engaging learning materials that resonate with a wide audience.
  • Collaboration & Relationship Building: Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., DEI teams, COEs, L&D, People and Culture, BRG’s and Corporate Communications) and external vendors. Must be able to influence diverse groups and manage multiple stakeholder expectations.
  • Project Management & Analytical Skills: Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong analytical skills with experience in using metrics and data to inform learning strategy.
  • Self-Starter: Must be proactive, resourceful, and able to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating good judgment and initiative in tackling challenges and driving forward learning initiatives.
  • EEOC, Affirmative Action, and Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with key compliance areas, including EEOC and Affirmative Action requirements, and how these regulations intersect with DEI learning efforts.
  • Budget & Invoice Management: Experience managing department budgets and processing invoices, ensuring accurate financial tracking and timely payments to vendors.
