Early Careers Apprentice & Skills Development Lead (EDAS)
Would you like to work within a rewarding role, unlocking the potential within the apprentices? We currently have a vacancy for an Early Careers Apprentice & Skills Development Lead – Engineering Degree Apprenticeship Scheme (EDAS) at our site in Samlesbury, Brough or Yeovil.
As an Early Careers Apprentice & Skills Development Lead, you will be part of a still growing area of the business recruiting and mentoring a large number of apprentices.
This role will provide you with the ability to influence careers of apprentices and input across the full learner journey from recruitment to completion of apprenticeship.
Your main responsibilities as aN Early Careers Apprentice & Skills Development Lead (EDAS)will involve:
Broad leadership responsibility, leading multi-layered teams of professionals which typically include learner populations
Undertaking the observation of teaching, learning and assessment practices as part of a culture of continuous improvement and practitioner development.
Taking a lead on key projects, programme innovation and quality improvements actions
Effective stakeholder engagement to ensure practitioner skills and programme content is current and aligned to business needs.
Managing of subcontracted delivery partners in order to monitor service provision and learning outcomes to ensure delivery is aligned to business requirements.
Your skills and qualifications:
Experience of working within the Aerospace industry and/or on software projects/in a software engineering role
Effective leadership and coaching skills
Experience of working with apprentices
Desirable:
Degree qualified or equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering
Assessor/Verifier qualification
Teacher training/qualification
Incorporated or Chartered Engineer (or knowledge of the registration process)

Location: Samlesbury, Brough or Yeovil
Salary: £37,000+ depending on experience
