Our Client Products business develops and manages the Commercial Bank’s products and services to businesses of all sizes in the UK and internationally. The provision of these products and services is grounded in a deep understanding of customer needs, focused on enabling our clients to efficiently manage their liquidity, complete payments, finance everyday expenses, mitigate risk and fund their trade flows and support growth.The Working Capital business, spanning Trade and Invoice Finance, has tremendous growth opportunity at Lloyds Bank and is a fascinating place to be for innovation and change. The Working Capital Solution Development team is at the heart of this, and our mission is to listen to customers, colleagues and the market to understand client needs, the changing landscape and the latest solutions available, in order to develop and improve solutions to make it easier, quicker, safer and more sustainable for our customers to access cash and manage risk across their supply chain. We often do this through partnerships and agile development, and always in a customer-centric way.
An opportunity has arisen for a collaborative, hardworking and strategic problem solver with a growth mindset to join our team. The role requires the successful individual to work with colleagues, customers and partners (including fintechs) to deliver customer-centric solutions that use existing and new technologies.
The role provides the opportunity to deliver meaningful and positive change and offers a high level of exposure to senior management, clients and the wider industry, with excellent opportunities for career development.
This role will report to the Managing Director, Head of Working Capital Solution Development, Client Products, Commercial Banking at Lloyds Bank.
Job Description
Key role accountabilities
- Deliver core and transformational Invoice Finance and Trade investment and change projects successfully in collaboration with key partners
- Progress key innovation projects, from validation to proof of concept, pilot and expansion of priority projects
- Take initiatives through the appropriate governance and approval channels at pace
- Drive customer awareness of our Working Capital solutions and new developments
- Develop clear business cases and solution development strategy, managing partners to secure prioritisation of project, budget and resources to deliver
- Keep informed of the latest market, regulatory and other changes and their impact on the business and our customers
- Build and foster relationships with key internal and external partners.
- Work with the wider team to embed a culture of customer-centric innovation and promoting new ways of working
- Play an active role in the team’s people proposition, developing emerging talent within the team and ensuring a safe place to work
Role requirements
- Consistent track record in planning and delivering innovation and transformation projects, from case development through to solution launch.
- A strong understanding of the platform and technology landscape applicable to Working Capital solutions and recent innovation and digitisation (experience in this space highly desired)
- A strong understanding of Working Capital products (Trade and/or Invoice Finance), customer journey, and broader trends impacting our clients & the industry
- Experience in end-to-end project management to support multiple priorities within tight timescales
- Experience working with technology experts (including POs, engineers, third-party companies and fintechs) to build and launch digital solutions at pace
- Investment bidding process experience
- Ability to conduct market scans, design workshops, proof of concepts (POCs), pilots and build minimum viable products (MVPs)
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, including at scale
- Experience with client insight, client experience and customer journey methodology

- Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to package and deliver sophisticated messages in a simple and accessible way. Building strong and trusted relationships across a large and complex business and identify and gain support of key influencers
- Motivated self-starter, able to work to timelines in a pressurised environment, handle multiple partners and reliably deliver high quality output
- Ability and affinity for inspiring change and continuous improvement
- Collaborative, successful in influencing key partners at all levels across the organisation.
- Strategic problem solver, able to define the vision and strategic direction
- Authentic and strong leadership abilities, relevant team management experience and committed to personal development.
