We’re looking for a motivated marketer join the Scottish Widows marketing team, with a focus on B2B campaign management across our individual pensions and/or protection products. Working in a hybrid environment with the office in Edinburgh you’ll support the management and delivery of Scottish Widows branded marketing communications and campaigns to UK Financial Advisers across B2B advertising, social media, content and email.
This opportunity is for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.
As a B2B Assistant Marketing Manager, your responsibilities will include:
ATL campaigns will primarily be adviser need and insight led focusing on thought leadership and relevant and timely technical content, and include campaign content across Individual Pensions, Annuities and Protection.
Work with a number of external agencies, including creative and media agencies, and in-house creative agency, responsible for creating and delivering across multi communications channels including trade digital and press advertising, social, web and email and virtual events.
Inject fresh ideas, perspective and creativity into campaigns and communications initiatives
Ensure all campaigns and communication collateral is delivered on brand, meeting customer needs and adhering to the principles of Treating Customers Fairly
Engage internal and external stakeholders in order to shape and deliver marketing campaigns and ensure communications achieve their objectives
Conduct post campaign reviews and campaign tracking and where necessary use results to support continuous improvement within the team
Identify, monitor and mitigate commercial risks, escalating where appropriate
About you:
We'd like to hear from marketing professionals who are passionate, keen to learn, and who can embrace new ways of working.
B2B marketing experience and having a sound understanding of the UK Financial Adviser market is highly desirable but not essential.
It’s essential that you possess:
Sound understanding of campaign management and communication delivery processes
Experience delivering marketing communications campaigns on time, accurately and within budget
Strong analytical skills and experience analysing and optimising marketing executions
Copy writing skills and creative thinking
Ability to manage budgets aligned to a project or communication and report on budgets via agreed reporting processes within the team
Ability to effectively and accurately translate and interpret the brand promise, visual identity and tone of voice into marketing communications.
Ability to distil and simplify marketing concepts simply to help up skill colleagues and senior management as appropriate.
Strong stakeholder management skills
Having a Financial Services background is preferred but not essential, however having a sound understanding and/or interest in Pensions and/or Protection and a desire to apply and grow your technical skillset with us, will be.
