Essential skills:
- Proven knowledge and work experience of RADAR Theory and Operation
- Experience of Electronic Warfare, Radar and Defensive Aids Sub Systems
- Knowledge of RDT&E Environments and capabilities (inc. MATLAB & Simulnk)
- Proven work experience of HWIL Rigs, Rig Support Equipment, Systems Integration and Test
- A degree (or equivalent) within a STEM subject
- Knowledge of ground support Missions Systems products
- Experience of Systems Engineering or equivalent technical experience within appropriate domain
- Proven experience of using Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Desirable skills:
- Knowledge of Synthetic capabilities as detailed within DMaSC JSP939
- Knowledge of Mission Support products (IGS (Integrated Generation System) / Desktop Tools / Mission Planning and Aircrew Training Devices)
- Knowledge of using SySML / UML MBSE methodologies and tools (Enterprise Architecture, Siemens Polaris ALM, DOORs, MATLAB System Composer)

The Radar Mission Systems Engineer team:
As a Radar Mission Systems Engineer, you will join the Mission Support and Training Services, Air Service, Emerging Capabilities team. The team are responsible for delivering new and emerging technology and are currently tasked with the development of the ECRS (European Common Radar Solution) MK2 Radar Long Lead Time Activity (LLTA) contract(s) tackling the engineering integration challenges associated with the Ground based Mission Support System.
The ideal candidate will have systems engineering experience in developing and integrating new capabilities and be familiar with Electronic Warfare Mission Data and have operational knowledge. It would also be advantageous if the candidate has experience in supporting the UK customer and is familiar with how the customer operates.
