Our Portfolio Analytics team are group of specialists responsible for developing the methodologies, data and tools used in Commercial Banking to support pricing, delivery of balanced returns, and growth of client relationships.We have recently developed the Lloyds Bank Market Intelligence product which enables our clients to use the insights derived from Lloyds data to better understand their customers, their business and their performance in the market. The team is supporting our customers through both onboarding them, and servicing their needs.
Clients often require specialist insights to meet their in the moment needs for information, data and insights relating to their customers. This entails exploratory data analysis on extremely large datasets, producing insights using advanced visualisation tools, and developing statistical and modelling methods to explain and uncover insights for clients.
A role in Portfolio Analytics provides the outstanding opportunity to develop your analytical skills as well as putting it to use with measurable results, in this case by supporting clients with a completely new income stream for the bank!
Job Description
Key objectives as a Market Intelligence Data Analyst:
The role looks to help bring the insights that answer clients’ specialist requests to life. The work will involve a lot of data engineering to prepare the data and extract features from the underlying data. Using exploratory data analysis to ensure the data meets privacy and legal requirements. Developing creative data visualisations that present the information in a way that is easy to understand and answers clients questions.
Key competencies:
- Highly numerate with strong analytical skills
- Highly proficient in database software with strong SQL skills (ideally Teradata)
- Proficient in Tableau
