This role sits within the Analytics & Business Intelligence (A&BI) team within our Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO). The team is passionate about:
Moving forward the Group’s BI and Data Strategy
Growing the BI Centre-of-excellence, helping the business unlock the potential of data through innovative self-service BI
Crafting pioneering reporting and visualisation solutions to support our Group strategic programs / initiatives
Being a collaborative, diverse, inspiring and energising place to work.
About the role:
In joining us you’ll focus on the following areas:
Taking the lead in visualisation / BI projects, working within multi-discipline (including BI, Data engineering and Data Science) agile scrum teams
Translating data into new BI capabilities, engaging visualisation, and interactive reports to be used in decision-making at all levels within and outside the Group
Ensuring the timely delivery of BI solutions, using the agile tools and processes in place to effectively flag and resolve risks and issues
Acting as a technical Product Owner driving the end quality of BI outputs in line with business stakeholders requirements
Building relationships across the Group to generate and refine data, technical and analytical experiments, seeking ways to apply your analytics knowledge to resolve business problems.
providing critical ‘BI expertise’ to support and constructively challenge business partners to craft their problems into analytics based opportunities, and break these large opportunities into user stories that are understood, ambitious and executable
Having responsibly for the end-to-end delivery of initiatives and improving and optimising the value delivered by the team
Educating business users how to use BI / data visualisation throughout the decision-making process
About you:
An ideal candidate will have:
A creative and entrepreneurial mind set
Experience and a passion for leading large BI / Visualisation projects
A solid understanding and application of technical Product Owner capabilities
A deep technical foundation in BI tools (such as Tableau and Power BI)
Visualisation / design standards expertise and thought leadership
A good strategic understanding of broader data and analytics capabilities and how they work together
An appreciation and technical knowledge of the overall solution design of BI capabilities (e.g. BI architecture, engineering, Cloud knowledge)
