About the role:

Alinta Energy is looking for an experienced Financial Analyst to join our Trading & Portfolio Management team based in Perth. You will play a pivotal role in the uplift of the financial support for the Commercial & Industrial (C&I) function by providing insightful financial analysis, strategic guidance, and partnership to various stakeholders within the business.

In this permanent full-time role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop actionable recommendations that drive efficiency, profitability, and sustainable growth.

In this role, you’ll be:

• Prepare and deliver key monthly accounting accruals that reflect accurate commercial performance
• Combine business and market understanding with data analysis to assist business owners with insights relevant to financial targets, competitor behaviour and link to delivery of business strategy and targets
• Prepare and maintain clear and concise reporting, presentations, and dashboards for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and financial health metrics, leveraging existing systems
• Prepare and lead the end-to-end forecast process in an accurate and timely manner
• Manage and reconcile diverse data-sets to ensure integrity of source information (financial & non-financial)

Ideally, you’ll bring to the role:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications, Finance, Accounting or Economics. CA, CPA, CFA qualifications is a plus
• Relevant experience in a commercial, financial or management accounting role
• Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
• Confident, articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage priorities in a complex and dynamic environment
