Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Work with AWS customers, especially those in highly regulated industries, to help them understand AWS security cloud best practices
- Work with other teams within AWS to help create, iterate and communicate AWS security best practices
- Develop content, such as security labs in AWS, project briefs related to customer security challenges in the cloud, and reference architectures that can be used to guide students through AWS cloud security programs.

About Associate Solutions Architects
As an Associate Solutions Architect, you’ll probably be at the start of your career which is OK. AWS and your team will provide you with the support, guidance, mentorship and opportunity you need to become great. You’ll learn to work backwards from customers challenges, and embed these in to programs you build to give students access to real-world cloud security challenges that they can solve. You’ll learn to use your knowledge to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud security architectures. You’ll learn through doing, and you’ll take part in technical solutions discussions, diving deep into the details with customer teams.

- Bachelors degree or Self/Industry taught equivalent experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Interest in one or more specific areas of risk and security, eg penetration testing, large scale security operations, threat monitoring, etc
- A solid understanding of cloud computing
- Relevant technical certifications in IT, cloud or security
- Can create proof of concepts, demos and/or leveraging reusable components
- Experience presenting to others
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree
- Practical experience in IT security, especially cloud security
- Experience architecting or operating solutions built on AWS or other cloud technology
