As the Senior Event Technology Project Manager, you will be responsible for driving a cohesive user journey across our global strategic and field event portfolio platforms and technologies. You will partner with the Senior Team Lead, Event Marketing & Technology to build a long term event technology strategy that supports the organization and business' goals. You're a master multi-tasker, an effective communicator, and have the ability to collaborate with internal teams, external vendors and solution providers.
This role is 70% Project Management & Strategy, 15% Technical Execution, and 15% Product & Tech Stack Management.
Responsibilities
- Project Management & Strategy:
- Drive the management, implementation and execution of the global events and field marketing team’s technology platforms including digital experience platforms, integrated registration, event websites, mobile applications, data visualization & reporting tools, integrations across our technology stack, online event streaming & broadcasting, content production, on-site event technologies and more
- Action contract management, onboarding, integration, and maintenance of 10+ event technology tools and providers for our global event portfolio
- Execute overall project management for the technology workstream for assigned events via project timelines, implementation and launch plans, Jira ticket creation, reporting dashboards, meeting notes, etc., including managing cross-team and vendor communications and expectations
- Drive experimentation and strategic analysis of our event technologies executions via a “test and learn” approach
- Provide strategic guidance and execution of the configuration of event tech tools including (but not limited to) content management systems (ex: CFS, SRC), sponsorship management tools (ex: ERC), and session schedulers
- Partner with our marcom, web developers, and design teams to manage the build and content refreshes event web properties throughout the year based on event registration cycles and setup branding and CSS configurations within event technology platforms for customer facing flows and widgets
- Drive and deliver best practice documents and process improvement documents
- Technical Execution:
- Build and develop event microsites and registration platform templates, digital experience platforms and event mobile apps
- Manage digital event broadcasts globally including editing and producing content via technology platforms and driving event livestream technical management
- Product & Tech Stack Management:
- Lead setup and configuration of APIs for internal websites and 3rd party event technology providers in partnership with the Marketing IT team
- Use automation to improve processes and productivity, and make recommendations to support an organization scaling at a rapid pace
- Keep abreast of industry trends and make recommendations on experiential and event technology platforms
On your first day, we'll expect:
- 3-5+ years of event technology experience (preferably in high-tech events)
- 3+ years of experience working with or managing virtual event and webinar tools / platforms
- Experience with Salesforce, Swoogo, SpotMe, Socialive, Brightcove and other event management tools
- Fluency in HTML, CSS
- Exceptional communication skills
- Proven analytical and data-driven decision making skills
- Basic understanding of how event operations work and why technology is a key component to event successes
- Project management expertise, including with remote teams
- Superb prioritization skills with an excellent eye for detail
- Ability to effectively delegate work across virtual teams and build strong peer relationships
- Accept changes with short notice and execute with an agile approach
It's admired, but not required, if you have:
- Strong presentation skills
- Experience with Javascript and Swoogo
- Experience working with Atlassian tools including Jira and Confluence
- Microsoft Office suite program experience preferred (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
