Atlassian is seeking a dynamic Sr. Financial Analyst to help shape and drive forward the vision of one of the fastest growing companies in the market. In this position, you'll oversee the operational plan for the CTO & Trust organization, partner directly with our leadership team to analyze performance metrics and business scenarios to drive strategic decisions.
This role will report to the R&D Strategy, Operation and CTO Finance Lead. You will play a key role in the budgeting/forecasting process, business performance reporting, monthly close process, purchase requisitions reviews, headcount change management, infrastructure forecasting, licensing optimisations and modelling, operational improvements, and you will be able to provide support on key projects being undertaken in the finance R&D strategy team to help drive improvements and efficiencies through the R&D organisation.
Besides working with the R&D organization and the FP&A team, you will also work closely with the broader finance team including Accounting, Procurement, Talent Acquisition and Human Resources.
In This Role, You'll Get To
Partner with the CTO and Trust organization to develop forecasts and ensure the group delivers within their budgets that are set
Build deep business partner relationships across the organization to drive cost savings and efficiency improvements
Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting – analyzing financial results, distilling/synthesizing key trends, and communicating business insights to the leadership team
Lead and align team members across the R&D organization, to prepare financial analysis, decision support analysis, financial modeling and provide ad-hoc analytical support
Facilitate finance optimization efforts and help us build a world-class FP&A organization by developing, standardizing, maintaining and driving continuous improvement of all planning and forecast process
Help drive efficiencies in the R&D organisation by providing support on the key projects that are being undertaken within the Finance R&D Strategy team
On Your First Day, We'll Expect You To Have
Experience partnering with R&D teams and senior executives to influence strategic decisions, set budgets, prioritize spend and report/present on financial metrics
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills to clearly articulate key business and financial impacts/implications
Positive attitude, high attention to details, collaborative and comfort in working in a matrix organization
Ability take charge and drive results independently, while remaining team oriented
Ability to prioritize objectives in a fast-paced environment to ensure key deliverables are met in a timely manner
Minimum 3+ years of Finance or Accounting work experience required
Strong technical fundamentals such as spreadsheets (e.g., Google Sheets, MS Excel) and exposure to tools such as Anaplan, Tableau, Workday, and Coupa are a plus
Experience in Technology or Software / SaaS industry and working in R&D/Operation function is a plus but not required
Experience with cloud provider spend such as AWS a plus but not required
