Your future team
We're hiring a Senior Engineering Manager, that will report to our Growth Engineering leader. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you'll be a technical leader and people manager, with a background in developing customer-facing enterprise-grade experiences. Here, you'll own data-driven development and experimentation across Atlassian's products focusing on growing our primary business.
Our Growth Team is comprised of people with backgrounds in multiple languages, stacks, and business types - creating a highly diverse team. We use data heavily to run experiments across all of Atlassian's core products to make and show the benefits of our paid tiers as well as removing friction from flows for our users.
What you'll do
- Lead a team of software engineers through hiring, mentoring, and hands-on career development.
- Work with product managers and principal engineers to guide the roadmap for scaling and evolving critical infrastructure.
- Champion cultural and process improvements through engineering excellence, quality and efficiency.
- Drive Atlassian's revenue growth through experimentation and data-driven development.
- 5+ years of experience managing software engineers.
- 10+ years of experience building large-scale and modern web software at a similar sized SaaS company.
- Strong technical background and ability to be mostly self reliant in managing technical engineering decisions.
- Experience driving operational and engineering excellence improvements across teams, setting and maintaining standards for engineering teams.

Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience.
In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $205,800 - $274,400
Zone B: $185,200 - $246,900
Zone C: $170,800 - $227,700
This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
