Your future team

Atlassian is seeking a Principal Strategist to help drive the dynamic growth and adoption of our expanding product suite. This role will be pivotal in executing Enterprise GTM strategies, fueling monetization efforts across markets, and fostering innovative change design to strengthen our ability to unleash the power of every team.

The ideal candidate will partner closely with the Revenue Operations executive team, as well as stakeholders across the organization, to define critical strategy that will help set the long-term direction of the business. This individual should be strategic, a self-starter, driven, adaptable, highly organized, analytical, and have a strong eye for detail. A strong understanding of SaaS business models and of Atlassian’s markets and product strategy is essential.

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $176,100 - $234,800

Zone B: $158,500 - $211,300

Zone C: $146,200 - $194,900

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

Please visit go.atlassian.com/payzones for more information on which locations are included in each of our geographic pay zones. However, please confirm the zone for your specific location with your recruiter.

On your first day, we'll expect you to:

  • Have extensive experience in corporate strategy, business operations, consulting, investment banking, or an equivalent field (competitive candidates typically have 9+ years of relevant experience).

  • Be comfortable with ambiguity and able to delve into the details while engaging meaningfully on higher-level strategy.

  • Bring analytical rigor, drive to support decisions with data, and an ability to make data digestible to diverse audiences.

  • Have an understanding of SaaS business models and of enterprise sales.

  • Have strong proficiency in structured data analysis (eg Excel, GSheet, SQL is a strong plus).

  • Have knowledge of BI tools and technologies (e.g., Tableau).

It's great, but not required if you have:

  • Advanced analytical skills (R, Python, SQL)
