About Boral Lysterfield Quarry
Boral’s Lysterfield Quarry is located in Melbourne’s outer eastern suburbs near the foot of Mount Dandenong. It is one of six quarries in the greater metropolitan area owned and operated by Boral. The Lysterfield Quarry is one of Melbourne’s main sources of hard rock material, used to make basic building and construction products like concrete and asphalt. The quarry’s proximity to the Melbourne CBD and great metropolitan area makes it a very important asset for the growth and development of the city.
About the Opportunity
We are actively seeking an experienced Sales Loader Operator to join our energetic and dedicated team. Reporting to the Site Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to safely and efficiently operate our Sales Loader and other quarry mobile and fixed plant machinery as required.
Key duties will involve:
- Effective operation of Sales Loader
- Safe moving and loading of raw materials
- Basic maintenance duties of machinery and working environment
- Active participation in safety initiatives including pre-starts, toolboxes and incident reporting.
This is a permanent, full-time role that will require you to work Saturdays.
About You
We are seeking a motivated individual who can demonstrate:
- Experience in Sales Loader and other quarry mobile and fixed plant operations
- Self-drive with a strong commitment to safety and quality
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team with minimal supervision
- HR drivers licence will be highly regarded
- The flexibility to work Monday to Saturday as required
