We are looking for a talented Machining Technician to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Morristown, TN .

Job Summary:

Operates machines and production equipment in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment with limited guidance.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Ensure Safety:
By stopping work and reporting any major injury hazards immediately, you’ll help maintain a safe work environment.

  • Report Incidents:
Promptly reporting any work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards will contribute to a proactive safety culture.

  • Compliance:
Adhering to HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations ensures that all safety and environmental guidelines are met.

  • Use PPE:
Consistently using appropriate personal protective equipment will protect you and your colleagues from potential hazards.

  • Promote Team Safety:
By looking out for one another and promoting interdependence, you’ll foster a supportive and safe workplace.

  • Environmental Awareness:
Recognizing and minimizing the negative impact of your work on the environment will support sustainability efforts.

  • Quality Control:
Following standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures will help maintain high product standards and reduce costs.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

  • Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

Experience operating CNC machines (1 to 3 years) (The most important requirement for this role)

  • Ability to read blueprints.

  • Familiarity with measuring instruments.

  • Basic math skills (decimals, fractions, tolerances)

  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced atmosphere.
