We are looking for a talented Commercial Power Generation Inside Sales Representative to join our team in Dallas, TX.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Generate new business opportunities by engaging prospective customers, qualifying leads, and converting sales opportunities into revenue-generating relationships.

  • Drive sales growth through proactive customer outreach, follow-up activities, cross-selling, and up-selling solutions that increase customer value.

  • Support the full sales cycle by assisting with quotations, proposals, customer inquiries, and other sales operations that contribute to successful deal execution.

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships that foster loyalty, repeat business, and long-term partnerships with Cummins.

  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience by responding to concerns, resolving transaction issues, and ensuring timely support throughout the customer journey.

  • Maintain accurate customer records, sales forecasts, pipeline activity, and reporting data using CRM systems and established Cummins sales tools and processes.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate inventory, delivery, and service capabilities, ensuring customer expectations are met while supporting business objectives.

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase operational efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction, contributing to overall business growth and profitability.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and initiative by proactively pursuing opportunities, overcoming obstacles, and driving results in a fast-paced sales environment.

  • Communicate effectively with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders by delivering clear, impactful messages tailored to the needs of different audiences.

  • Build trusted customer relationships by understanding business challenges, anticipating needs, and delivering customer-focused solutions that create long-term value.

  • Leverage strong influencing and persuasion skills to articulate the value of Cummins products and services, gain customer commitment, and support successful negotiations.

  • Plan, prioritize, and align activities effectively to manage multiple opportunities, meet sales targets, and support broader business objectives.

  • Apply sound account planning, pipeline management, and sales forecasting practices to maintain a healthy sales funnel, improve forecast accuracy, and drive sustainable growth.

  • Utilize critical thinking and customer insight to analyze complex information, understand buying behaviors, and develop tailored solutions that address customer needs.

  • Demonstrate business and market awareness by understanding channel dynamics, pricing considerations, and competitive differentiators that strengthen customer relationships and improve business outcomes. Education, Licenses, Certifications: Advanced certificates or college degree in the field of Sales or Marketing, or an acceptable combination of education and experience required.This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Experience: Limited prior experience required. Experience as a quote analyst or another sales support function desirable. Limited travel may be required. Experience with customer relationship management software desirable. Experience with other software-based sales and business tools desirable.
