In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Deliver reliable test results by building, repairing, preparing, and testing articles and equipment according to established test methods and quality requirements.
Improve testing effectiveness by identifying opportunities to improve test setups, measurement techniques, procedures, and overall testing methods.
Turn test data into useful engineering insights by analyzing results, identifying trends and failures, and providing clear information to support engineering decisions.
Lead issue resolution by coordinating the investigation of test-system and test-article problems, bringing the appropriate engineering teams together to identify and resolve issues.
Strengthen product reliability by participating in and leading FMEA activities, teardown reviews, problem-solving teams, and failure investigations to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
Provide clear technical communication by documenting testing, calibration reviews, teardown results, and findings in technical reports and presenting conclusions to relevant teams and leadership.
Keep programs organized and on track by planning, scheduling, ordering, and tracking test activities while adjusting priorities to meet changing program demands.
Drive continuous improvement and team capability by leading improvement projects, maintaining quality procedures, supporting audits and corrective actions, and developing training that helps others perform testing effectively and consistently.

Be proactive and action-oriented by taking ownership of testing challenges, responding quickly to issues, and being willing to take on new opportunities and responsibilities as priorities change.
Build strong communication skills by clearly documenting test methods, equipment settings, data, analysis, and findings, while tailoring communication to engineers, customers, technicians, and other audiences.
Become comfortable managing complexity by organizing large amounts of test data and technical information, recognizing conflicting results, and determining what information is most important to solving the problem.
Make sound, timely technical decisions by using engineering requirements, test standards, data, equipment capabilities, and risk considerations to determine the best path forward.
Develop strong testing and data-acquisition expertise by accurately preparing test articles and samples, verifying calibration, configuring test systems, selecting appropriate instrumentation, and producing trustworthy data.
Use data-driven problem solving to drive results by identifying data-quality issues, determining assignable and systemic root causes, implementing robust corrective actions, and ensuring problems do not recur.
Embrace continuous learning and different perspectives by learning new testing technologies and methods, sharing knowledge with others, participating in improvement efforts, and valuing the perspectives and expertise of teammates.
