User Experience Designer III
Expedia Group (EG) is at the forefront of the travel industry’s platform and marketplace. The experience design organization has recently reorganized to strengthen the company’s commitment to Human Centered Design practices. The Experience Platform team was borne out of the need to consolidate, optimize, and simplify the common UX and Content Design for EG’s brand portfolio, B2B and B2C partners, suppliers, and developers.
Included in Experience Platform is the Experience Foundations team. Our crew is crafting innovative products utilizing AI and machine learning, for user identity & profile, IAM (identity and access management), CRM (Customer Relationship Management), communications, maps and more. What you'll do:
Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to gather and understand business and feature requirements
Know target users: develop or work from user profiles & conduct task analysis, build user scenarios, help to craft, and analyze user surveys and feedback
Develop process flows, wireframes, prototypes, high fidelity mockups, and detailed UI and visual design specifications for web and mobile
Present design work to the product team, engineering team, and external partners for review and feedback
Partner with highly technical development teams for product launch
Ability to handle projects in an agile and fluid environment
Who you are:
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent related professional experience
3 - 5-years professional experience as a user experience designer
Experience building positive relationships with engineering, design, and project management counterparts
Utilize standard methodologies for web- and mobile-based applications, while balancing qualitative and quantitative and business goals to support your design rationale
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and ability to analytically defend your design decisions
Solid systems thinking, visual design and UI design skills; capacity for building engaging, highly usable, and intuitive designs and layouts, with a propensity towards simplification
Skilled in HCI methodologies and usability principles
Proficient with Figma
Have an online portfolio that illustrates a holistic user experience skill set (please provide a link to your portfolio and passwords, where relevant)
