Product Manager, Content Platform

Expedia's Content platform team is looking for a Product Manager to help us reimagine and deliver the way we bring travel experiences to life through media. Are you passionate about content? Come join us!

The Content Platform provides a portfolio of products to revolutionize traveller experiences throughout the customer journey across Expedia Group (EG)’s diverse portfolio of brands and product lines.

We assemble, maintain and distribute content assets including Media, Text, Reviews, Property Data, Geo, Destination, and more. Through innovative knowledge-based systems and machine learning models we synthesize unique insights to answer questions about travel. Our configurable selection and aggregation capabilities enable a marketplace where diverse customers are matched with relevant partner offers.

As a product manager, you will ensure travellers are able to make informed decisions about their trip through consistent, accurate, relevant, informative and engaging images and other media.

In this role you will collaborate with a wide network of partners across the organization to deliver capabilities that improve client and customer experience and add value to our marketplaces.

You will work with business partners, engineers, designers, and data scientists to tackle complex problems, and you will see the results of your work rapidly making a positive impact on our customers and our business.

What you’ll do:

  • Define and implement the product strategy for improving the quality and relevancy of our images
  • Using data, customer empathy and understanding both traveller and middle user needs, you will make clear decisions to focus energy on the highest priorities
  • Optimise for impact by capture detailed business opportunities from stakeholders and turn them into the epics and stories that set the direction for engineering teams
  • Represent your customers’ interests to all levels of the organization, considering their needs at all stages of the product lifecycle
  • Support team growth by recognizing staff potential and guiding employees in developing skills by recommending appropriate training and sources of information
  • Drive awareness, adoption and utility of your platform products
  • Execute efficiently in a fast-paced fluid environment where change is constant, and creativity is encouraged
  • Contribute to an environment for team effectiveness, where strengths are known and built up on and learning is shared to build capacity

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree or related technical field; or Equivalent related professional experience,
  • 3+ years’ experience in product management
  • Hands on knowledge of travel ecommerce business is preferred
  • Proven success in delivering technology products in a high growth environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding project management and organizational skills
  • Able to prioritize well and influence the broader organization and community of EG leaders
