Data is the fuel for EG transformation, traveler experience innovation, analytics and actionable insights, machine learning and AI, competitive intelligence, partner and supplier success. The EG Data and AI is looking for a Senior Director of Product Management for company wide Data Products such as clickstream, attribute stores, supersets, traveler data platform. The product leader will be leading a team of data product managers and partner with data engineering leader to own the vision, strategy, delivery EG wide data products and capabilities. The team will own the life cycle of data products from requirement gathering, building, deprecation, or migration.
What you’ll do:
- Strategize and design the fundamental data products and capabilities to ensure the value of data is maximized.
- Lead and grow a team of talented product managers, which includes people managers and individual contributors.
- Design and optimize data flow from data producers, processors and data consumers with data architect, data governance and data engineer leaders.
- Collaborate with different businesses to synthesize usage scenarios, requirements and solve their specific challenges while putting the customer first.
- Create data product vision and drive the roadmap, execution, and go to market strategy for a Portfolio or Program of products, projects, and initiatives.
- Deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment while balancing effective communication to build and manage relationships with partners, bridging the technical and the commercial worlds to design experiences that our customers love.
- Bias toward action to break down complex problems into steps that drive product development at high speed.
- Define a set of success metrics to measure customer satisfaction and business impact and be able to utilize the min decision-making. Co-own OKR with data engineering teams.
- Use excellent judgment in prioritizing between short term focuses, business continuity and long-term goals.
- Stay on top of customer preferences, external technology trends, and market demand.
- Lead the organization through change, evolution, and growth; the right leader will evolve and scale the organization along with the business.
Who you are:
- 8+ years of data product management experience with a proven track record of successfully launching products (customer behavior data, commerce data, marketing data, customer360, knowledge graph etc.) as well as retiring products.
- 6+ years of experience hiring, managing, and developing product managers (individual contributors and people managers)
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional, geographically distributed teams without direct authority
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, communicate priorities and corresponding product roadmap across functions and geographies
- Experience working with both technical and business stakeholders (strategists, analysts, marketing, etc.) to understand local problems and develop appropriate solutions.
- Highly adaptable in a fast-paced dynamic environment; proactive and able to thrive within ambiguity.
- Demonstrated experience influencing senior management and setting expectations for major cross-functional initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, communicate priorities and corresponding product roadmap across functions and geographies
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field or applicable industry experience.
