Social Media Manager, Global Analytics and Insights - Expedia Brands

Expedia Group is on the hunt for an Analytics Manager to join our global Communications and Social Media Team, leading the charge on all things reporting, benchmarking and optimizing.
You’ll have a genuine passion for data, a knack for taking numbers and translating them into meaningful, actionable insights, as well as an intimate understanding of the major social channels and their reporting tools.
What you'll do:
- Collect and analyze data across paid, owned, earned channels – including influencers – for multiple brands and regions using various social listening and analytics tools.
- Develop and maintain relationships with the Social and Influencer Team, providing guidance and analysis across multiple campaigns and social channels.
- Own the reporting process, providing monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc updates to internal teams.
- Create benchmark criteria to measure the ongoing effectiveness of social media programs and implement improvements as required.
- Develop reports, dashboards and scorecards to measure program effectiveness and support strategic business priorities.
- Provide data-based recommendations on how to innovate, improve or optimize social media content including advice on best practice.
- Keep your finger on the pulse of the latest social measurement and industry trends, including algorithm changes and new platforms and tools.
- Monitor and evaluate competitor social media activity.
- Own relevant vendor relationships and support tool rollouts and training for the team
Who you are:
- Has experience working closely with social media data, analysis and reporting across a variety of social listening tools or dashboards.
- High degree of knowledge and expertise with core social channels and their reporting tools: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter
- Experience with Sprinklr platform preferred
- Advanced skills working with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills to effectively communicate performance to stakeholders. You’re equally comfortable playing with numbers in Excel, telling the story behind the numbers in Powerpoint and then presenting in a compelling way to key stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent time management and prioritization skills, and the ability to manage ad-hoc reporting requests in tandem with ongoing projects.
- Experience managing vendor relationships to drive outstanding service and innovation as we strive to build best-in-class measurement practices.
- Critical-thinking skills and the ability to objectively view and synthesize information.
- Self-guided; strategic; organized; responsible; energetic; flexible; proactive with a positive attitude and love of working in a fast-paced environment
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
