We are looking for a leader who can drive impact with their analytical skills and seamlessly collaborate across the business to fuel continued growth in Media Solutions.
What you'll do:
Own and evolve the pricing strategy and implementation for Expedia’s digital advertising business, optimizing for overall monetization
Define and manage processes designed to effectively manage onsite ad inventory and pricing modifications
Create and implement pricing strategies for audience extension and other externalizedmedia products
Lead a high-performing team of analysts and data scientists to develop tools, data products, and insights around performance metrics like revenue, inventory availability, pricing, and monetization
Leverage your analytical and interpersonal skills to partner with sales, product, operations, and other teams to solve complex business problems
Own the forecasting and continuous improvement in accuracy of display ad inventory, working with vendor partners and internal stakeholders
Educate sales teams on yield techniques and tools to help match advertiser demand with the optimal ad supply available
Lead a culture that values high quality delivery of insights and continuously improve the organization’s level of expertise and impact on business performance
Promote a “one-team” mentality that encourages ownership and collaboration around technical and customer problems irrespective of organizational boundaries
Maintain a strong understanding of ad platforms, data sources, operational and sales workflows to develop data-driven recommendations that improve yield and team efficiency
Instill best practices for guiding internal teams to manage and monitor campaign delivery risk
Who you are:
5 to 7 years of digital advertising, pricing, revenue and/or yield management experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s in economics, mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field; or Equivalent related professional experience
4+ years' experience leading analytics, finance, or data science teams, ideally in a global capacity
Deep familiarity with advertising platforms such as Google Ad Manager and order management systems (AdBook)
A leader who can distill down complex problems and work hands-on with your team to solve them
Excellent quantitative skills with an ability to influence and guide senior leadership by storytelling with data
Strong interpersonal and talent leadership skills, including identifying and developing high-energy talent in the field of analytics / data science
Experience leading complex programs and influencing in a global, matrixed environment
Able to evaluate and making recommendations across opposing and equally critical business needs
Experienced in SQL, Python, statistics, machine learning methods, and business intelligence tools (Tableau, Looker)
