Front End Software Development Engineer III

As a Front-end Software Development Engineer, you propose, prototype, design and implement various portal capabilities in collaboration with teammates. By now, you would have built and supported public facing web applications which are interactive, performant, and at scale.
What you'll do:
Participate in the analysis, design, development, and deployment efforts of React based plug-ins for multiple enterprise application projects to solve complex business problems
Own and deliver tested and optimized high-performance code for public facing, enterprise web portals applications
Participate in resolution of production issues and develop solutions to prevent future issues from happening again
Collaborate with Developers, Program Managers, Testers, and Production Support Engineers in an agile development environment
Work with the product team to quickly prototype and iterate on new ideas - and you'll create fast, easy-to-use, and intuitive applications
Who you are:
Bachelor’s in arts or science or in a related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience
Deep understanding of software design principles, algorithms, data structures, and multithreading concepts
Experience playing key roles in technical designs, mentoring junior developers, and helping to drive engineering maturity
Passionate about quality of work, you are persistent and uncompromising
Experienced in delivering sophisticated UI solutions, you have worked on enterprise web portal and have helped operationalize it
Self-starter that enjoys and takes pride in the development work of their team
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative, and exciting environment
4-7+ years of experience in front-end and backend development
Experience building full-stack applications with React, Node.js, AWS etc
Solid knowledge of modern web standards and technologies (ES6, CSS/Sass, HTML 5 etc)
A passion for solving complex software engineering puzzles in a dynamic environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Required: React, Redux, CSS/Sass, HTML 5, D3, Javascript, Node.js, Express
Preferred: AWS (or similar Cloud platform), GIT, Docker, Splunk, Jenkins/Bamboo (modern build systems)
Mobile web development experience is a plus
Experience using bug/issue tracking and code review tools is a plus
Contributions to open-source projects would be a plus
The total cash range for this position in Austin is $128,500 to $180,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $205,500, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
The total cash range for this position in San Francisco is $140,000 to $196,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $224,000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
