HRSD ServiceNow Analyst II

The Expedia Peoples Technology Team is looking for Software Development Engineer with a focus on ServiceNow to support Expedia Corporate and all Expedia Brands. As a Software Dev Engineer, your main responsibility will be defining and implementing ServiceNow configurations and Integrations changes within the HRSD and Employee Workflow modules for Expedia’s People Technology team. You will be part an integral part of a team dedicated to constantly improving the configuration and customization of ServiceNow to meet Expedia’s global requirement.

This position combines proficiency in the HRSD, Employee Workflows, and Integration Hub capabilities of ServiceNow. A strong ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with Product Managers in turning broad requirements into deliverable work items. The individual will also work with multi-functional teams to address system, interface, data, and vendor issues. Finally, the role will be primarily responsible for bidirectional integration of ServiceNow with other internal/external tools.

What you'll do:

  • You will perform the necessary tasks to design and develop features, add, and update configurations and customizations for component discovery

  • Integrate ServiceNow with other systems in Expedia to meet requirements. Your skills, knowledge of the platform and proficiency in communication to collect configuration information and requirements will aid you and team success

  • You will work independently, as a productive member of a project team and closely with key clients and senior technology leaders

  • Effectively evaluate requests for ServiceNow improvement and promptly respond with solution recommendations, including alternative options to a given problem

  • Provide troubleshooting support for resolution of complex ServiceNow issues

  • Design, develop, debug, and modify configurable aspects of ServiceNow

  • Design, develop, debug, and modify Integrations (custom, Spoke)

  • Work with others and independently to resolve problems and roadblocks, with management assistance if required

  • Build and execute effective test plans to ensure quality

  • Follow through on details and drive issues to closure

  • Document & communicate procedures for leveraging new/modified functionality when required

  • Work in an Agile Scrum development environment, attending and participating in standups, grooming, sprint planning, demos and retrospectives

Who you are:

  • Must Have: 3+ years’ experience with ServiceNow HRSD & Employee Workflow module for both configuration and Integrations

  • Nice to Have: System integration experience using web services and other web-based technologies such as XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, REST/SOAP

  • Nice to Have: Development language experience and experience using various scripting technologies like JavaScript, PowerShell, and Shell

  • Demonstrated initiative to build and improve processes with team members

  • Must be a proactive self-starter who can work well under pressure in an environment of continuous change

  • Strong communication and written skills

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with ability to demonstrate influence in a consultative fashion to stakeholders and other team members

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $105,500 to $148,000. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $169,000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
