Product Marketing Manager

Looking to join a team taking some of the world’s most exciting consumertravel products to market to delight travelers worldwide? At Expedia Group, we are passionate about bringing together travel and technology to create innovative products that deliver better experiences for travelers. We are looking for a high-performing Product Marketing Manager to join Expedia’s consumer product marketingteam. This role will be a core part of a recently created function within the team helping increase the reach of our product messaging through expanded communications channels. Your work will help our consumer products reach new audiences to drive product adoption and retention.

As Product Marketing Manager, you will develop a deep understanding of Expedia’s external communications channels, focusing onPR and industry relations. You will partner with different product marketing teams to articulate the benefits of Expedia’s products to those channels. You will also advocate for these external channels within the product organization to ensure that the right product messagingreaches the right audience at the right time.

As this is a new function, we are looking for a self-starter who will help develop new processes and playbooks, actas subject matter expert for their area of work within the team, and continually test, iterate, and improve on their approach.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with the global PR organization, including consumer, corporate, and technology PR,to understand their channel strategy and audiences reaching travelers around the world

  • Additionally, partner with theindustry relations and B2B marketing teams to help relay consumer product launch information relevant to Expedia’s travelsuppliers and partners

  • Develop a solid understanding of the product roadmap to help build cross-product narratives relevant to different PR opportunitiesand to support product launch announcements

  • Contribute to a company-wide calendar of consumer product communications

  • Educate the wider product marketing team on how to better leverage PRopportunities to bring awareness to our consumer products, such as media opportunities, speaking engagements, and events

  • Craft clear, concise and organized communications materials relevant to different audiences (e.g., presentations, messaging materials, one-pagers, content repositories)

  • Coordinatedevelopment of visual assets and proof pointsfor Expedia’s marketable consumer experiences, working with agencies, design teams, and product marketing leads

  • Establish KPIs and success metrics for your initiatives and track progress

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing or similar function in a B2C organization, preferably for a company with a global customer base

  • Well-versed in different marketing and communications channels, with direct experience working with external PR/communications teams

  • Excellent storyteller, writer, and communicator, who is passionate about developing messaging and value propositions tailored to different channels and audiences

  • Experienced in articulating complex product information using simple, easy-to-understand language

  • Comfortable helping our product marketing leads translate product data into meaningful proof points relevant to different audiences

  • Experience working with designers and agencies on visual storytelling assets such as product screenshots and demo videos

  • Ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams

  • Experienced in product marketing best practices,with enthusiasm to build processes applying these practices and uplevel the work of our team


The total cash range for this position in Austin is $104,000 to $145,500. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $166,500, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in Chicago is $99,000to $138,500. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $158,500, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $104,000.00 to $145,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $166,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
