Senior Manager, Workforce Planning

What you'll do:

  • Anticipates and recognizes bottlenecks in work processes between teams and makes suggestions for ongoing improvement

  • Leads implementation teams and ensures the successful execution of new ideas or approaches

  • Coordinates with team to define the measures of success for process improvements

  • Securing buy-in for recommended actions from business owners and other stakeholders

  • Coaches others on how to utilize resources to maximize performance; modifies reports and tools in order to improve operational efficiency

  • Implements improvements that impact the quality of products, services and processes

  • Monitors and suggests methods for continuous improvement for the department; creates measures to check the accuracy of information for the team

  • Breaks down complex information (e.g., legal, operational risk, and regulatory data) into understandable terminology and actionable concepts

  • Uses technical knowledge and expertise to generate comprehendible, broadly-applicable communications based on new and non-typical data

  • Designs differentiated technical communications (content focus, style, presentation, etc.) for various internal and external audiences based on an understanding of their differing levels of familiarity with technical language

  • Reviews the skill and expertise requirements to accomplish team goals and identifies staffing and talent resources to fill project roles

  • Develops action plans for optimal resource utilization and manages financial/material resource usage among team for both internal and vendor supported staff groups

  • Encourages others to assess the potential impact of resource decisions related to efficiency and cost reduction

  • Establishes working relationships with stakeholders and builds rapport to become a trusted advisor

  • Identifies strategic issues and raises questions to help customers explore and understand their wider business challenges

  • Utilizes thorough understanding of current business processes and challenges to recommend and match solutions to meet unique business needs and achieve objectives

  • Provide primary input to the quarterly forecast model, partnering with both finance and account management leadership to ensure accurate and timely completion of all forecast deliverables

  • Lead quarterly forecast and performance reviews with management teams, and recommend appropriate courses of action to achieve organizational goals

  • Creates metrics to monitor performance across multiple teams and ensure efficient execution and effective delivery of work

  • Advise the business on appropriate metrics for productivity measurement and aid in development of reporting and tools used to achieve said metrics

  • Recognizes staff potential and guides employees in developing skills by recommending appropriate training and sources of information

  • Creates environment for team effectiveness, where strengths are known and built upon and learning is shared to build capacity

  • Shares domain and industry knowledge between cross-functional teams

  • Seeks mentorship opportunities for direct reports

  • Obtains resources needed to reach individual and team goals

  • Prioritizes team morale and productivity, celebrating team accomplishments

  • Promotes collaboration among team members. Encourages others to cooperate and coordinate efforts

  • Attracts and selects diverse and high-caliber talent

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Data Science or in a related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience

  • 8+ years of strategic workforce management and demand planning experience in increasingly higher responsibility roles

  • 3+ years of experience in people management / leadership

  • Experience working in and supporting highly diverse teams across multiple global sites and time-zones

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication, with proven record of presenting to and gaining consensus from senior leaders

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, self-motivation and the capacity to work in a high-performing team with tight deadlines

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with experience presenting to stakeholders at the most senior level

  • Competence in use of analytical tools including Microsoft Excel, database querying (SQL), relational databases, Business Objects, Salesforce, Tableau, SAS, etc.

  • Competence in use of presentation tools including Microsoft Powerpoint, etc

  • Intellectual curiosity for what drives the business

  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $135,000.00 to $189,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $216,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
