We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Director of Product Management to spearhead innovation in our Trust & Safety programs across Expedia Group's marketplaces.

In this influential leadership role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing complex product strategies across multiple portfolios, seamlessly integrating with other business lines within Expedia Group. Your primary focus will be on defining and delivering a comprehensive technical roadmap that ensures the detection, mitigation, and management of risks associated with bookings within our brands. As a Senior Director, you will lead a team of Product Managers to drive our vision, strategy, and product roadmap, expanding the suite of capabilities that enhance internal teams' and partners' understanding of a great and trustworthy traveler experience.

Collaboration will be key to your success, as you will closely collaborate with our traveler and partner-facing product, user research and design, technology (engineering and data science), and commercial teams. Together, you will build and strengthen network effects across our marketplace. To thrive in this role, you will need to develop a strategy that addresses the core elements of trust for our travelers and partners, prioritize engineering and data science initiatives (including machine-learning capabilities) that advance the strategy, and exert your influence to align diverse stakeholders. Additionally, you should enjoy working in a collaborative, analytical, and fast-paced environment, and be comfortable collaborating with highly technical cross-functional teams. Deep dives into data, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to lead executive-level reviews are crucial. This is a highly strategic position that will significantly shape the future direction of our organization.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead innovation in Trust & Safety programs across Expedia Group marketplaces.

  • Define and deliver a technical roadmap for risk management and mitigation.

  • Build and lead a team of Product Managers to drive vision, strategy, and product roadmap.

  • Collaborate closely with traveler and partner-facing product, user research and design, technology, and commercial teams.

  • Foster network effects and strengthen the marketplace.

  • Prioritize engineering and data science initiatives that align with the strategy.

  • Influence and align diverse stakeholders.

  • Thrive in a collaborative, analytical, and fast-paced environment.

  • Dive deep into data and demonstrate exceptional writing skills.

  • Lead executive-level reviews.

Who you are:

  • 10+ years of successful leadership experience in product and technology for a global platform company

  • Experience building Trust & Safety solutions in a marketplace (or fungible experience) preferred

  • Well versed and experienced with consumer technology and/or platform business with a product-led mindset

  • Proven excellence leading diverse functional and globally dispersed development teams in high-impact initiatives that deliver meaningful business results

  • Creative thinker with extraordinary business, strategic, analytical, management and relationship skills

  • A "one team" player, transparent and an advocate of sharing data and learnings to create better customer outcomes

  • Inspires peripheral relationships across Expedia Group, has the enthusiasm and passion to engage own team and wider organization on eCommerce roadmap

  • Proven experience gaining support and advocacy from senior leaders and stakeholders during strategy and implementation lifecycles.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle and Austin is $277,000 to $387,500. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $443,000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role
