Senior Hyperion Administrator

We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Senior Oracle Hyperion Administratorto lead our team. This person will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for Expedia Group’s Oracle Hyperion system. The successful candidate will have extensive experience with Oracle Hyperion products, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Expedia Group Global Finance has over 200 active Hyperion users globally. We operate in a dynamic and complex environment and use Hyperion as our core planning and financial reporting system. The Administration team sits within the Global Finance organization, is the front line of support for our user base, and works on a daily basis with our Hyperion developer team to support enhancements, fixes, and regular operations.

What you'll do:

  • Provide technical expertise and support for Oracle Hyperion products and related technologies

  • Manage and development current small administration team in addition to performing SME/Admin functions for Hyperion instances

  • Identify and address potential areas of improvement within Oracle Hyperion system, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams

  • Work closely with customers to understand their unique needs and requirements, providing tailored solutions that meet their specific needs

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements related to Oracle Hyperion products, sharing knowledge and insights with the broader team.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and deliver training programs for Oracle Hyperion products, ensuring that team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively support our customers.

  • Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and demonstrations to showcase Oracle Hyperion product offerings and solutions.

  • Provide input and feedback to the broader team regarding customer needs, market trends, and potential areas of improvement

  • Develop and maintain documentation for key processes and controls that support planning and forecasting

  • Lead testing process including test plan creation, testing execution and defect tracking

Who you are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent related professional experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in implementing and maintaining Oracle Hyperion, preferably for a multi-national corporation

  • Experience with the latest version of Oracle Hyperion software, including Hyperion Planning, Hyperion Essbase, Financial Reporting and Calculation Manager

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical support or administration roles, with a focus on Oracle Hyperion products

  • Extensive knowledge of Oracle Hyperion products and components, including, architecture, consolidation and reporting, and data analysis

  • Experience creating, maintaining and debugging Hyperion calculation scripts, business rules, web forms and SmartView queries

  • Experience with Essbase security and Shared Services including provisioning and managing users and groups

  • Thorough understanding of finance processes and forecast modeling

  • PBCS Knowledge is preferable

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop and implement solutions to complex technical challenges

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Strong customer focus, with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions that meet customer needs

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, building strong relationships and driving results through influence

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

  • Located in the greater Seattle Area

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $161,500.00 to $226,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $258,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
