Air Commission Validation Analyst

This might be the fit for you as a Commission Analyst in Air Operations as part of Expedia Group E4B Organization. In this role, you will be supporting Operations by driving root cause analysis and supporting operational needs with a time of ticketing commissions.
We are searching for a self-starter who enjoys working both independently and as part of a diverse team. Your attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and positive attitude will enable you to work effectively with the team, our partners, and our vendors. Your keen operational skills will ensure we have the right operating structures in place with streamlining processes and an eye toward increasing automating opportunities.
What you'll do:
Be proficient with reviewing complex airline contracts with attention to where broader interpretation occurs and validate the terms during daily audits and impact reports
Investigate, analyze, and resolve Commission memo queries escalated by vendors
Conduct thorough airline audits on ticket issued via ARC and BSP to ensure processes are working with SOX compliance
Investigate ticketing issues using functional capabilities to identify the root cause. Use knowledge of the air operational process to assist with any blockers or drive opportunities for improvements in the processes
Provide feedback to peers, and mentor colleagues to increase their skill sets
Facilitate collaboration with different stakeholders with varied perspectives to develop effective solutions
Drive high-priority issues to a timely resolution by engaging SMEs and leveraging the necessary resources
Communicate analysis findings and recommendations both strategic and tactical to colleagues, stakeholders, and leadership in a clear, concise, and influential manner. Be able to draft balanced and evidence-based reports on findings
Responsible for managing commission related Salesforce cases requiring action by both internal and external partners, including vendors
Who you are:
2-3 years in operations or analysis with demonstrated experience in problem-solving
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in related field; or equivalent related professional experience
Proficient in Amadeus and Farelogix with reading and understanding booking history
Deep knowledge of the industry with an understanding of reservations and the ticketing process is strongly preferred
Intermediate/expert level experience with Microsoft Excel functions highly preferred; understanding of macros preferred
Able to use a flexible approach, be a creative, strategic thinker, and adapt quickly to changing circumstances or roles
Demonstrate active listening to ensure all viewpoints have been heard and discussed before reaching conclusions, offering guidance, or asserting your own views
Collaborative yet influential

The total cash range for this position in Springfield is $49,000 to $68,500. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $78,500, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
The total cash range for this position in Chicago is $60,000.00 to $84,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $96,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
