HR Solutions Architect

Expedia Group’s People Technology Team develops, maintains, and manages the systems and tools people use throughout their employee journey with Expedia Group.

The HR Technology Solutions Architect plays a critical role in designing and implementing People Technology solutions. They are responsible for translating business needs into technical requirements and ensuring the successful implementation and integration of HR technology solutions.

What you'll do:

  • Work with People Teams to understand business requirements and design scalable, integrated HR technology solutions. Develop architecture blueprints, system diagrams, and technical specifications that outline the solution design and integration points

  • Assess existing HR systems, applications, and platforms to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement. Conduct research and analysis of emerging HR technologies and trends to recommend the most suitable solutions that align with Expedia's needs and strategic objectives

  • Engage with stakeholders to gather and document functional and technical requirements. Conduct interviews, workshops, and user surveys to identify pain points and opportunities for automation, process improvement, and enhanced data management

  • Collaborate with engineering teams and software vendors to build and configure HR technology solutions. Develop prototypes, proof of concepts, and conduct system testing to validate the solution design and ensure it meets the defined requirements

  • Ensure seamless integration of HR technology solutions with other systems such as HRIS (Human Resources Information System), payroll, talent management, and learning management systems. Develop data exchange mechanisms, API integrations, and data migration strategies to enable accurate and secure transfer of HR data

  • Work together with business partners and cross-functional teams to ensure that HR technology initiatives are in line with organizational strategies. Support communication, offer technical advice, and guarantee smooth change management and user acceptance of new HR technology solutions

  • Stay current with HR technology trends, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, process automation, and optimization of HR technology solutions to enhance efficiency, user experience, and data security

Who you are:

  • You are an expert in solution design, architecture, and integration of HR technology systems with experience in AWS, ServiceNow, and Workday technology platforms and how understand how they are optimized to deliver the best possible HR technology solutions

  • You have strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present complex solutions to non-technical stakeholders

  • You have the ability to understand the long and short-term perspectives of situations

  • You have possess a deep understanding of all things HR - HCM, Talent Acquisition, LMS, Payroll, etc., including policies, and compliance requirements and have the ability to translate business requirements into scalable, efficient, cost effective and supportable solutions

  • You are a proactive and self motivated technologist who keeps up-to-date with HR technology trends and emerging technologies in order to show the potential business application of technology improvements

  • You have knowledge of data management, data privacy, and security practices related to HR systems

  • You remain unbiased toward any specific vendor or technology choice and are more interested in solving the business problem than the technology itself

  • You are excited to work on a global team and willing to accommodate flexible hours

  • You have worked with Jira and understand agile methodologies

  • You love HR Technology

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $161,500 to $226,000 . Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $258,500 , which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
