The primary purpose of the P&T division is to evangelize the products and services developed to enhance the traveler and partner experience, build loyaltythrough increased membership and industry-leading customer service through our global network of brands, which include®,®and Vrbo®. They achieve this by providing travelers with personalized experiencespowered by data and AI and an integrated experience across Expedia brands througha singular technology platform while providing partners with differentiated services to help enhance their customersexperience.

This is a global role, the employee comms team works alongside P&T colleagues around the world to shape and share the strategic narrative withemployees to help build strong, trusted relationships between leaders and teams and share the achievements and momentum of the P&T division with the broader audience across Expedia Group.

What you'll do:

  • Producing compelling content (includes Basecamp stories, Slack posts, PPT presentations, emails, event invitations, executive briefing documents, communications plans)that reflect the needs of the business and ensure employees have the information they need to remain effective and engaged

  • Working with internal partners and advising on the best way to achieve results through effective communication

  • Assisting in the development and management ofcomplex multi-channel communications campaigns and events

  • Proactively suggesting and contributing to initiatives to improve audience engagement with internal campaigns and communications

  • Liaising with other teams in Expedia who play a role in the launch of new initiatives and products, ensuring internal communications happen in coordination with other marketing, communications and training activities

  • Whilst the focus of this role is primarily focused on written communications, you should be comfortable sourcing images for stories within our brand guidelines and undertaking basic design, multimedia and video work within existing templates

  • Tracking and reporting on performance and engagement

  • Playing a key role in our editorial process to help prioritize stories and to connect dots across division and initiatives.

Who you are:

  • One to two years’ experience in a communications/editorial/PR environment, generating ideas, handling priorities and creating compelling content

  • Can deliver stakeholder requests in an accurate, timely and professional manner

  • Can copy edit and translate technical, complex processes and information into simple, clear communications

  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritization skills are key

  • Possess the ability to account for best practices while balancing the need to innovate and evolve

  • Comfortable learning and using new tools to develop creative content, written communication and presentations

  • Video editing experience and an eye for visual design a plus

  • Flexible and adaptable, able to react quickly to changing requirements and new challenges

  • Impeccable written English skills

  • Technical writing and multimedia experience

  • Experience in a global environment

  • High level of competence with Mac OS, iWork, MS Office and Slack

  • Experience using email distribution software

  • Previous experience in a professional, global work environment

The total cash range for this position in Chicago is $60,000 to $84,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $96,000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $65,500 to $92,00.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $105,000, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $65,500.00 to $92,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $105,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
