Do you want to be part of a team that helps bring both new vendors and capabilities onto the Expedia Group platform via APIs and connectivity?
As an Integration Specialist, you will use your skills in project management, exercise technical prowess through user acceptance testing, and coordinating efforts to remove obstacles impacting our partner's ability to code to our APIs effectively. In this position you will assist existing vendors through integration and certification on new feature adoptions, leading integration projects from start to end.


Who you are:

  • Experience with Excel, Salesforce, Outlook, Mingle, Slack, and the capacity to read and understand XML, JSON, and GraphQL messages

  • Solid understanding of middleware integration platforms, system architecture, product APIs, web tools, testing environments, and internet protocols (HTTP, SSL, REST)

  • Integration/Technical Experience: Proficient experience in EAI or B2B integrations, GraphQL, and Insomnia; specifically analyzing and validating APIs

  • Problem Solving: Takes initiative to identify current and potential problems and discern the best solutions, involving internal or external partners and resources

  • Results-oriented, you work towards efficiency, taking ownership of issues. Ability to work independently under tight deadlines, and thrive in a multi-tasked, constantly evolving environment, whilst maintaining a focus on goals

  • Communication: personable and can nurture business relationships, describing technical situations effectively to a diverse group of teams and partners

  • Handling Complexity: Work across teams to achieve goals and resolve issues, remaining educated and up to date on new technologies and system developments, and ability to prioritize multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously


What you’ll do:

  • Lead larger scope projects to assure the integrity of lodging-related data and contribute significantly to quality delivery within established SLAs.

  • Lead the development of global process documentation and help define the standards for excellence. Become a functional specialist for connectivity transactions

  • Lead communication and reporting on vendor certification progress. Work closely with Integration Engineers, Product and Technical Support as technical issues arise during the implementation of APIs

  • Work with Technical Relationship Managers to coordinate the integration project kickoffs. Own full-cycle certification testing for various Expedia APIs with new/existing partners

  • Provide the partner with standard methodologies for making the integration a success. Answer technical inquiries from all vendors relating to Expedia APIs

  • Perform ad-hoc testing of various scenarios to test partner performance, system functionality, and behavior

  • Advance system issues with the appropriate support teams and engage internal technology teams to discuss product development and support

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $112,000.00 to $156,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $179,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
