Job Overview
The Manufacturing Engineering Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating strategic manufacturing projects across multiple Industrial SBU facilities in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The primary focus of the position is ensuring that each facility has the manufacturing capacity, equipment, processes, and infrastructure required to deliver the annual operating plan while supporting the SBU’s longer-term, five-year manufacturing strategy.
This position leads a portfolio of approximately five to ten active projects at any given time. Projects will typically include capital equipment and automation investments, capacity expansions, product transfers between facilities, manufacturing process improvements, facility and infrastructure projects, and support for new product development and industrialization. Individual capital projects will generally exceed $500,000, although the portfolio may also include strategically important product transfers or capacity initiatives with limited direct capital investment.
The Manufacturing Engineering Project Manager leads projects from concept and business justification through design, funding approval, procurement, implementation, qualification, start-up, and operational handoff. The role partners closely with manufacturing operations, engineering, finance, sourcing, supply chain, quality, EHS, maintenance, facilities, product management, and external suppliers.
This is an individual-contributor position with significant project and matrix leadership responsibility. The position does not have direct reports but provides direction, coordination, and accountability to cross-functional project teams across multiple locations.
