Hubbell Incorporated engages in the design, manufacture, and sale of electrical and electronic products in the United States and internationally. It operates in three segments: Electrical, Power, and Industrial Technology.
Position Overview
Plan and release production schedules to meet delivery expectations. Schedule and coordinate flow of work through manufacturing processes to meet and exceed production deadlines, maintain proper inventory levels, coordinate cycle counts, and improve customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate production workflow through planning and scheduling functions
- Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
- Cross-departmental collaboration to determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demand
- Release customer orders from the planning queue based on material availability and lead-times
- Drive Customer On-Time Delivery and Demonstrated Lead Time while maintaining optimal inventory levels
- Release purchase requisitions and/or purchase orders to Buyers and suppliers
- Work with Quality, Operations, and suppliers to resolve quality concerns
- Release customer orders to achieve expected delivery performance
- Manage customer returned goods (RGA) using the RGA procedure
- Maintain current promise dates on customer orders
- Manage inventory levels for assigned product
- Schedule work through the shop floor
- Expedite parts within and outside the Company
- Prioritize work orders and coordinate with Operations to exceed customer requirements
- Analyzes and adjusts, as necessary, production schedules that are affected by changes in raw material and equipment
- Assist with physical inventory preparation
Skills and Experience
- College degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Experience in production planning
- Experience in MRP, SAP preferred
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication abilities
