This role will be supporting both the Londonderry and Manchester, NH locations
Position Overview
Responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) initiatives, policies and procedures for both Londonderry and Manchester location. Provides direction, oversight, and guidance to operations with the primary objective of eliminating workplace injuries and maintaining facility compliance in both our Manchester and Londonderry location.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance of safety and environmental laws, regulations and Hubbell Policies and Procedures
- Manage EH&S issues associated with group sites
- Staffing, leadership, etc.
- Ensure implementation of Hubbell Policies and Procedures as appropriate to Londonderry and Manchester.
- Coordinate submission of monthly scorecard data (DART, TRIR etc.)
- Implement the standardization of training initiatives to ensure harmonization and compliance at each site
- Coordinate with Human Resources in the Management of Workers’ Compensation Claims
- Oversee environmental programs, permitting, monitoring, and reporting for Londonderry and Manchester.
- Provide compliance training for Londonderry and Manchester
- Ensure all sector sites comply with all local, state and federal regulations regarding EH&S
- Assist facilities with Waste Management guidance
- Familiarity with high volume Distribution Center safety goals (DC- Londonderry)
- Familiarity with Lab safety agency protocols (Manchester)
- Work with sites on closure of corrective actions of all EH&S assessments
- Marsh & Liberty Mutual Safety Audits
- IH Evaluations and recommendations
- Third Party Compliance Assessments
- Safety Committee findings
- Incident investigation
- Coordinate/manage plant equipment moves
Skills and Experience
- BS degree in Safety, Health, or Environmental discipline; Prior work experience with relevant EHS duties can be substituted for degree requirement.
- 5 years experience
