Position Overview
The NPX Program Manager is responsible for all aspects of Hubbell NPX strategic New Product Development at the highest level; working closely with senior leadership. NPX expands upon traditional New Product Development and is targeted at accelerating high value enterprise initiatives to meet customer and market requirements, while maintaining timeline and budget.
What you will be doing
- Lead New Product Development (NPX) initiatives
- Develop and maintain project budget and schedule
- Identify risks, facilitate resolutions, and escalate as required across departments
- Manage and coordinate program and project teams for cross functional BU initiatives
- Communicate to senior management on project status, financials, risks, mitigation, contingencies, and impact to revenue
- Oversight of product development lifecycle
- Support Product Management to ensure schedule and product-cost are aligned with business case and market needs
- Coordinate cross-functional activities including electro-mechanical, firmware, software, hardware, systems design, manufacturing and functional partners
- Plan and organize system requirements, architecture definition, product specifications, and documentation
- Coordinate product test, acceptance and certification for Alpha, Beta, First Article
- Coordinate with Product Marketing and Operations on commercialization plan

- Participate in organizational initiatives
- Process methodology development and improvement
- Template design and creation
- Implementation of project management tools and training
What we like to see
- BS in Engineering or Business or equivalent relevant industry experience
- 7+ years of experience implementation and management of New Product Development
- Strong project management skills combined with technical aptitude
- Skilled in project planning and project management
- Effective change management skills, result driven, conflict management and proven team building capabilities
Ways to distinguish yourself
- Active PMP or PgMP(R) Certification
- Utility and energy industry experience with broadband and enterprise network infrastructure, Smart Infrastructure Solutions (SIS) for water, gas, and electric networks
