Position Overview

The PCX Material Handler moves material and equipment throughout the PCX facility to assist in production and inventory control. The Material Handler ensures that materials and equipment are stored properly once received, whether stock or project specific, and identified correctly for their intended use. The Material Handler prepares materials from inventory for use in production, to include cutting, kitting, and staging. The Material Handler performs inventory counts as specified and is responsible for the clean and safe storage of all material within the warehouse.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must follow PCX safety guidelines and requirements. Wears required PPE at all times.
  • Safely work with all equipment, machines, and tools required for job completion
  • Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer.
  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.
  • Perform inventory counts and identify discrepancies.
  • Store items in an orderly, accessible, and safe manner.
  • Prepare, kit, assemble, and stage materials and equipment for use in production.
  • Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
  • Listens and follows directions from leads and supervisors.
  • Adheres to PCX Quality Management System and ISO9001 standards.
  • Works in a timely, efficient manner to meet all daily performance objectives.
  • Maintains tools and equipment in proper working condition.
  • Identify material and equipment issues.
  • Must be able to read and understand posted bulletins, regulations, rule books, manufacturer manuals, and work instructions
  • Must be able to work in a team environment which requires cooperating with others, offering help when needed, and maintaining positive work relationships
  • Complete Time Reporting Sheets
  • Ensure working environment is clean and safe.
  • Report inventory use as required
  • Able to lift 50# consistently
  • Ability to work 10 hours per day and weekends as required
