Position Overview

Perform general engineering technician functions which includes working in test cages and job sites with up to typically 480 VAC/VDC; testing new and modified products; processing material release and engineering change notices; and support assembly and product testing

Duties and Responsibilities

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create/modify prototype and production drawings
Create/modify drawings and quotes for ETO (Engineered to Order) fire pump controllers, HRGs (High Resistance Grounding systems), radio and crane controls and cable harnesses
Create/modify component selection tables
Verify customer POs match sales orders
Process engineering change notices
Create/modify materials, routings and BOMs in the SAP business database
Test prototypes and products and record observations
Travel on service visits up to 10% of the time
Interact well with personnel in other departments

Skills and Experience

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Two years technical/college and six months of related experience or
Three years college with focus in mechanical engineering and
A desire to continue formal education towards an engineering degree
Must be familiar with CAD Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD Mechanical
Experience with MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook
