Position Overview

Under close supervision, perform inspection and test of production product quality in accordance with established procedures and time limitations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and electrical inspections and tests of products and subassemblies, in accordance with established test procedures and workmanship specifications.
  • Perform electrical set-ups from drawings and electric diagrams using various types of electronic measuring equipment.
  • Accurately document information on all inspections and tests on appropriate QA reporting forms.
  • Advise the Supervisor - Production Test of respective production effects and/or problems with test fixtures.
  • Interpret bills of materials, written test procedures, assembly drawings, and engineering documentation: perform simple data retrieval on a computer terminal.
  • Perform simple troubleshooting tasks, accurately documenting all defect information on Product Failure Reports.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineering to resolve problems regarding test fixtures, equipment, and test procedures during prototype and released production product builds.

Skills and Experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and transport, good mobility. Must be able to distinguish and identify different components/part colors. Must be able to successfully distinguish between various test equipment signals and test indictors. Able to sit or stand for prolong periods of time.

Preferred Skills:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; prefer a technical degree or previous electronics experience.
