Division Overview

Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

The Mold Operator will operate the mold machine process in a method to produce quality parts at the productivity rate that is in accordance with customer specifications using the Hubbell Power Systems Quality Operating Principles and the most current Quality System.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Produce quality mold parts using various molding process systems
  • Perform minor troubleshoot & minor repairs/adjustments
  • Assist with mold changes
  • Perform 100% trim and inspection
  • Identify and separate scrap
  • Complete daily paperwork (Hr X Hr charts)
  • Counting and packaging part
  • Maintain safety, quality, production and 5(s) housekeeping standards
  • Assist and support departments as needed

Skills and Experience

  • Basic communication and organizational skils
  • Basic math
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • Basic troubleshooting and ability to operate hoist
  • Hand tools knowledge/use
  • Basic computer (PC) knowledge and use
