Division Overview

Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Position Overview

The Solutions Specialist will work closely with internal customers to process post shipment request and cancellations within Hubbell Gas Utility Solutions Inc (HGUS). The responsibility starts with the promptness and accuracy in entering return orders and follows through to provide the account specialist with necessary documentation for external customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

Communication is key!

Develop relationships with internal customers.

Be someone people can count on for timely and accurate information.

Become proficient at entering returns, credits, and sample orders to ensure that the proper territory codes, sales rep codes pricing codes and market segments are entered correctly.

Manage daily email, telephone, fax inquiries and traffic to insure rapid response to customers.

You are responsible for your daily activities; prioritize your day based on the needs of your customer base and understand that you are the face of Hubbell Gas Utility Solutions Inc.

Work with sales and operations to ensure cancellation request are reviewed and processed in a timely manner.

Skills and Experience

Understand and execute the Customer Return process according to current HGUS process.

Understand and execute credits and debits according to current HGUS process.

Become proficient in understanding our cancellation process and carrying out cancellation withing SAP.

Excellent organizational skills are necessary.

Can communicate clearly with internal customers, such as: production, quality, sales, account specialist, etc.

Prioritize request on a first in first out basis, unless otherwise stated.

Understand products, price structure, discount, etc. for Hubbell Gas Utility Solutions product lines.

Understand and follow Hubbell approval matrix to process credits and debits.

Preferred Skills:

SAP skills & experience

Proficient use of email (Outlook) both messaging and scheduling

File correspondence and other records according to the company file plans.

Must be able to read and comprehend information.

Effectively present information and work with the department manager, individual salespeople, customers and factory floor/support personnel.

Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
