Position Overview

Individual will perform machine setup and run Acme and Davenport screw machines. This is an outstanding opportunity for a qualified mechanically inclined machine set-up/operator to work with a great company that offers excellent benefits. Schedule:

  • 10hr Shifts
  • Overtime as required

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for operation of screw machines; including, loading bar stock, filling fluids, and removing chips from machine.
  • Responsible for performing setup on screw machines; including, tooling changes, tool sharpening, and tool adjustments to ensure continued conformance to specifications.
  • Responsible for conformance with quality specifications.
  • Ability to assist other operators in performing tool changes, trouble shooting, and maintenance activities.
  • Ability to assist in training others on operation and setup of screw machines.

Skills and Experience

  • Mechanically inclined – Individual needs to be good with tools and machinery and can adapt quickly to fixings things both familiar and unfamiliar.
  • Perform standard math – Individual needs to able to perform standard math to effectively make machine adjustments.
  • Reasoning ability – Ability to think, reflect, and make decision to overcome obstacles.
  • Relevant work experience; maintenance, mechanic, automotive mechanic, or trade school completion
  • Perform standard math – add, subtract, multiply, and divide
