Hubbell Utility Solutions (HUS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. HUS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. Position Overview
Assists with maintenance work on building, equipment and grounds which involves the regular performance of the job duties of two or more crafts or trade skills, involving electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting, HVAC. Reports to the Facility Coordinator.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Must be Reliable, Punctual, Dependable.
- Perform routine facility and grounds maintenance and upkeep.
- Conducts preventative maintenance inspections, performs preventative maintenance actions, and executes emergency repairs in a timely manner.
- Perform and document monthly safety inspections, maintain facility records.
- Troubleshoot issues to determine repairs needed.
- Identify and follow safe actions to achieve goals.
- Assists in furniture, material, and equipment movement throughout plant.
- Work as directed by management to accomplish goals of the Company.
Skills and Experience
- Must be able to climb ladders, bend, crawl, work in tight spaces, and lift 50 lbs.
- General plumbing, electrical, HVAC and painting knowledge.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong English language skills both written and spoken.
- Previous maintenance experience desired.
- OSHA 30 certification is a plus
- Knowledge of environmental standards is a plus
- Experience/certification with forklifts is a plus
