Division Overview

Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Overview

We are seeking a talented Sr. Human Resources Representative to join our growing Connectors Business Unit in Leeds, AL. This position will support the business with full cycle recruitment, benefits, employee/labor relations, investigations, training and development, benefits and compensation.

What You Will Do

  • Recruitment:
    • Conducting full-cycle recruitment activities such as sourcing candidates, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and extending job offers.
  • Benefits:
    • Administering employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
    • Assisting employees with benefits-related inquiries and issues.
  • Employee/Labor Relations:
    • Handling employee relations matters and providing guidance to managers on employee-related issues.
    • Responding to and resolving employee complaints and grievances.
  • Investigations:
    • Conducting internal investigations related to employee misconduct, harassment, or discrimination.
    • Coordinating with legal counsel as necessary.
  • Training and Development:
    • Developing and delivering training programs for employees and managers.
    • Evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Compensation:
    • Administering compensation programs, including salary and bonus reviews, job evaluations, and salary surveys.
    • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Reporting:
    • Generating HR reports and metrics to support business decisions and track progress towards HR goals.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or Management
  • Strong Human Resources Generalist experience
  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Proven time management skills; ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks effectively
  • Outstanding judgment and common sense, with a demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and be creative in developing employee-centric solutions
  • You are results-oriented with a track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment
