Position Overview

The BlueYonder Architect is responsible for the overall design, integration, deployment, and maintenance of the BlueYonder warehouse management and labor management cloud applications. The Architect will have a robust understanding of available software capabilities and stay current on new functionalities and trends. They will have direct inputs into Hubbell’s digital strategy for warehousing and logistics. As Hubbell’s distribution strategy evolves, the Architect will define the tactical software deployment plans to support the strategy.

The BlueYonder Architect will lead projects for system rollouts at new sites in addition to continuous improvements that support the warehousing and distribution strategies. This includes engaging in or managing the requirements gathering, solutioning, building, testing, training, implementation, and support of BlueYonder WMS and WLM applications for Hubbell.

In addition to project management responsibilities, the Architect may, at times, direct the work of permanent or contract employees as requested by the Logistics IT Director. They will also be the primary conduit for communications with related vendors, service providers, and contractors.

The Architect will be responsible for the efficient and problem free operation of BlueYonder in multiple distribution centers in North America. They will provide daily support as needed for ticket triaging and remediation in coordination with Hubbell Global Operations and BlueYonder Customer Support.

The BlueYonder Architect must possess a strong practical understanding of warehousing and distribution processes. They must have excellent customer service skills that foster collaborative and productive relationships with the end user community.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works collaboratively with partners across the organization to understand their challenges.
  • Stays current on new technology offerings and industry trends.
  • Influences business partners and management during solution design.
  • Promotes the use of standard system functionality that meet business requirements.
  • Documents business requirements, designs processes, and configures system solutions.
  • Leads projects and coordinates required resources.
  • Oversees the delivery of new and complex solutions including testing and support.
  • Develops and maintains reports, labels, and custom pages for the application.
  • Maintains a clear vision and full understanding of the overall IT strategies.
  • Provides subject matter expertise for technology solutions to meet business needs.
  • Provides support for triaging issues reported through daily help desk tickets.
  • Performs all change management activities required for corporate governance policies

Skills and Experience

REQUIRED

  • BlueYonder WMS / JDA / Red Prairie
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent
  • Jasper Reporting
  • Label Designer
  • Page Builder
  • Application Integration with BlueYonder on Cloud
  • Coordinating and administering Salesforce Cases with BlueYonder Customer Support
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Is assertive, proactive, and self-directed.
