Position Overview

The Composite Manufacturing Engineer position will focus on the pultrusion process including equipment, tooling, matrix design and process development to support new and existing products.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and implement pultrusion equipment, tooling, matrix design and processing related to existing and new products
  • Support and improve current pultrusion and related manufacturing processes
  • Identify, approve, and implement materials related to composite products based on new composite production technology
  • Generate and implement cost reduction ideas
  • Provide technical support and training to direct labor employees

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Composite, Mechanical, Materials, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or related field
  • 2+ years' experience working with Pultrusion processing and associated equipment
  • Must understand composite processing with related materials and chemistry
  • Understanding and desire to learn secondary composite manufacturing methods is a plus
  • Ability to design pultrusion tooling in Autodesk Inventor or equivalent software is a plus
  • Ability to interact across a multi-functional team to support product changes and new product introduction
