Position Overview

The Sr. Manager, Data Science & Insights will partner with business champions and leadership teams across the enterprise to drive consistent data science metrics and standardization on application delivery for data. The position will focus on streamlining existing processes to drive analytical data science solutions to enhance business insights in the organization.

The Sr. Manager, Data Science & Insights will proactively support all digital initiatives and integrate data to drive business performance. This position will be the principal AI/ML data scientist to increase advanced analytics that foster data driven results that cannot be recognized using traditional methodologies and toolsets. All delivered solutions will include either cost-saving measures, increased profitability, or increased cash flow for the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Hands on coaching and development of the designed solutions using cloud-based solutions such as Azure Data Lake, Azure ML/AI, Azure solutions utilizing Enterprise Data Models
  • Collaborates between analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility, and fostering data-driven decision making across the organization
  • Partner with the Business Units to ensure that reporting is driving insight that can be measured and used with predictive analysis when applicable
  • Manage strategic relationship with all project stakeholders across the business units and functions
  • Integrate available digital processes and toolsets from 3rd party solutions to provide seamless solutions regardless of the application
  • Lead project planning activities and manage the execution of projects according to plan
  • Proactively identify changes in work scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external stakeholders to reassess and amend the scope of work requirements, budget, and timeline
  • Coordinate resources for the execution of projects
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of experience supporting Enterprise Applications using Data Science and Predictive Analytic principals
  • 7+ years of experience developing AI/ML Business Intelligence solutions at an Enterprise Level
  • 7+ years of practical hands-on experience in python, AI/ML solutions
  • 5+ years’ experience writing SQL queries
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure platform
  • Experience building repeatable framework to support AI/ML solutions
  • Experience working with multiple datasets, models and transforming information into actionable solutions for the business stakeholders
  • Ability to comprehend user requirements and translate them into integrated data models
  • Ability to analyze different tools and technologies to determine best solutions for integration
  • Strong analytical skills and troubleshooting skills required
  • The ability to work across diversified business and IT teams
  • Experience working in a customer service orientated environment.
  • Extremely organized with strong time-management skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Education

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
