Division Overview

Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. Position Overview

The Continuous Improvement Support Analyst will conduct 5S audits, Kaizen Teian protocols, and Gemba Walks. As well as supply report outs and task tracking for continuous improvement projects. They will work directly with the Lean Technician and members of the MFG Engineering and maintenance team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead continuous improvement projects including but not limited to: production capacity, OEE, and automation
  • Assign and participate in tasks resulting from root cause problem solving, process Gemba Walks, 5S audits and procedures, and Kaizen Teian events
  • Own and further develop the already operating Kaizen Teian protocol for the factory
  • Help sustain 5S on the shop floor (5S Audits and track results, Sorting/Scrapping unused equipment, Building better storage for tools & devices; painting, cleaning of work cells, footprinting, labeling, lamination, printing, posting SQDC metrics etc.)
  • Lead daily process Gemba Walks on the production floor and evaluate for continuous improvement opportunities
  • Lead cross shift production Round Table events to gather broad operator input for Continuous Improvement analysis
  • Manage and support cross functional strategic projects and events
  • Performs other related duties and reporting as assigned

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Ability to work in high paced changing environments

  • Determination to take initiatives, share ideas, and find solutions

  • Minimum 3-5+ years working in a manufacturing support or manufacturing applications role
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certified preferred
  • Demonstrated success in continuous improvement methodologies, including Kaizen events and sustainment activities
  • Knowledge of quality tools
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing projects to completion
  • Demonstrated success in justification of capital projects
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certified preferred
  • Sharepoint, Power BI and, Autodesk Inventor is a plus
